Karen Lesch, Academic Advisor

"I searched for numerous programs that would accommodate my busy schedule and family, including Internet courses, night programs, and summer programs. Penn State has a great reputation, a schedule that fits my life, and is fully accredited." — Suzanne Conquest, graduate student

Admissions

Prerequisites and Getting Started

Our admission counselors are available to discuss with you your educational goals, financial aid options, and application deadlines.

Each program starts once each year—in August—and runs through consecutive semesters over one academic year.

A bachelor's degree in education or a related field is required for participation in either certificate program. However, those students who have already earned a master's degree are encouraged to pursue the Board Certified Behavior Analyst Certificate Program.

Each course is a prerequisite for the following course. The courses must be taken in the order they are listed. All 4 courses must be taken from Penn State in order to earn this certificate.

Technical Requirements

Our courses are designed to use technology in a way that enriches the learning experience and helps students communicate and collaborate with faculty and classmates in a productive and convenient way. Technology is an important cornerstone of this program; therefore, we provide "live" support from HelpDesk support staff through real-time chat. Please view the technical requirements for this program.

Applying

When completing your application, choose the fall semester. If you are rejoining the program after an absence and need to re-apply, please contact our admission counselors for assistance.

Students are encouraged to register for courses prior to the first day of classes. Students are also encouraged to speak to an adviser or check the course schedule for details about the specific classes for which they are registering.

After reading through the admissions requirements above, start the application process.
